Why the Ishtirak system
What actually makes the difference in this trade, not a generic feature list.
Meters and amps in one system
Each subscriber has an amp plan, flat or metered: a fixed fee by amps and a kWh price you set each month. Correcting a reading reworks that bill and every later one, and a meter replaced mid-month is billed across both meters.
Both currencies, no small change
Subscribers pay in dollars, lira or both at once, by cash, Whish, OMT or bank transfer, at the day's rate, and the change you hand back is recorded. A payment within one note of the balance settles it, so nobody is left owing small change.
What each collector carries
Cash a collector takes stays on them until they hand it over, so the owner sees what each one carries and a collector sees only their own. Reports by collector, method, area and generator.
Late payers and the cut list
Every payment settles the oldest month first, so the system knows exactly which months each subscriber still owes and who is past due. Remind each one on WhatsApp from their row, print the cut list, and reconnect with its fee.
A page for every subscriber
A QR on every bill and a link in every WhatsApp message open the subscriber's page: balance, months owed, your supply notice, how to pay and their kWh. From it they can send their own meter reading with a photo, which waits for your approval.
The generator and its diesel
Diesel by the litre and every expense against its generator, the hours counter and an oil change every so many hours you set, with a warning before a service falls due. Reports give you the cost per kWh.
Questions about the Ishtirak system
Does it bill meters by kWh price and a fixed fee?
Yes. You enter the kWh price for each month and each amp plan has its fixed fee, so a metered bill is the fixed fee plus kWh × price. Flat-rate subscribers pay their plan's price, in the same system.
Can collectors work from a phone?
Yes. The online edition opens in the phone's browser: collectors read meters in route order and photograph them, take payments and send the receipt on WhatsApp. Each has their own login and rights, and the cash they take stays on them until they hand it over.
My subscribers are in a notebook or Excel. Can they come over?
Yes. They import from an Excel or CSV file with a ready template in Arabic or English: name, phone, box, meter and the opening balance from the notebook. Every row is checked before anything is saved, so a file with a mistake never half-loads.
