What's inside the Sarraf system
12 sections on one database: what you record on one screen shows across the rest at once.
Why the Sarraf system
What actually makes the difference in this trade, not a generic feature list.
Owed to us, owed to them, in every currency
Every customer's and agent's balance is kept per currency and never converted, so you know exactly in which currency an agent owes you and in which you owe them. The statement has a section per currency with opening, closing and running balances.
A transfer and its fee
From a customer or the drawer to an agent or the drawer, the fee paid by the sender or taken off the payout. Fees earned show on the home screen and in the journal, and the transfer notice prints or goes on WhatsApp.
A drawer counted in every currency
Every receipt, payment and exchange moves the drawer, so the system knows how much of each currency should be in it. Count what is there, type it in, and any difference shows at once; past counts are kept.
Nothing changes silently
Every edit to an operation is logged with a copy before and after, who made it and when, and each account's page shows its own history. An account with any movement cannot be deleted, so every statement already sent can be reproduced.
Questions about the Sarraf system
Does it work with Syrian pounds?
Yes. US dollars, Lebanese and Syrian pounds and euros come ready, you add any other currency, and every account has its balance in each one. It suits offices in Lebanon and Syria: WhatsApp numbers are typed without a country code and told apart as Lebanese or Syrian by their length.
Does it print vouchers?
Yes. Every operation has its voucher — receipt, payment, transfer notice, exchange receipt — printed, saved as PDF or sent on WhatsApp, in Arabic or English.
Does it work without internet?
The PC edition does: the data is on the office's machine, backed up to a folder, USB drive or Google Drive daily and on closing. The online edition opens on any device and installs on a phone as an app.
